eNow will feature “solar trucks” at the Mid America Truck Show
Mid America Truck Show (“MATS”) in Louisville, KY from March 26th through March 28th
Fleet owners and owner operators will soon be able to power their auxiliary systems using the power of the sun. That’s because eNow, a global leader in the design and supply of solar based power systems for the commercial vehicle industry has designed and developed solar based systems for in cab HVAC, Lift Gate, Safety Lighting, Refrigeration and other Hotel Loads, such as TV’s, Microwaves, Refrigerators, and various mobile devices.
“With unstable fuel prices, increasing idling restrictions and the growing concern about greenhouse gas emissions, the eNow solar system will provide a valuable solution for our customers,” said Jeff Flath, president and CEO of eNow. “eNow’s solar energy solutions are a great complement to these applications”.
The eNow solar-based auxiliary power systems, being shown on trucks from eNow, Walmart and Morgan Corporation, are specifically designed for the transportation industry, including medium and heavy-duty trucks, commercial buses, school buses and military vehicles.
The system generates power using the company’s proprietary solar system, which is then stored in the on-board battery system and distributed to various truck/trailer functions when needed. Solar charging systems range from 25 watts, for keeping batteries charged, to 5,250 watt systems for refrigeration applications.
“We are very excited about this joint marketing agreement with all of our channel partners,” said Jeffrey Flath, president and CEO of eNow. “There is huge potential for solar power generation within the transportation industry, both environmentally and financially”. “We would like to thank Anthony Lift Gates, Bergstrom Climate Cab, Hercules Truck Body, Morgan Corporation, Palfinger Lift Gates and Velociti for their commitment and hard work as well”.
